About Past and Present

Past and Present is a project dedicated to documenting the changing landscape of our world through historical imagery.

By comparing old maps, satellite images, and photographs with their modern equivalents, we can see how cities have grown, landscapes have shifted, and how the world around us has evolved over time.

How it works

We use interactive sliders to allow you to compare "then" and "now" views of specific locations. This allows for a direct visual comparison that highlights changes that might otherwise be overlooked.
